“Repent, Jesus said, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). In other words, heaven is in reach now; you don’t have to die to go to heaven. You could have heaven on earth now. It also means at times, living in two dimensions interchangeably at the same time.
How do I do that you ask? You just ask the Lord to forgive you of your sin of rejecting Him in the past, and that you are now ready to make Him Lord of your life, that you believe that He died on the cross for your sin and that of the world. He was buried, and He rose from the grave the third day, and He’s now seated on the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for you. That as from now on, you will live for Him, you will allow His Holy Spirit to direct your life every step of the way. Ask for help from His Spirit to read your Bible daily, and pray to The Father in Jesus Name always.
The kingdom of heaven is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). In Heaven, there is no sickness, no one is demonized, there’s no sorrow, there’s no depression. You don’t have to be anxious about tomorrow, about your church situation, business situation, about your finances, or any of that. You can have joy now. You can have peace now.
God raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). We are seated with Him. Not standing. Not wringing our hands. I love the fact that He’s not wringing his hands over all unfavorable conditions we currently have all over the world. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. We are seated with Him, it is a position. It is finished.
That is Heaven. What is Kingdom?
The Greek word for “Kingdom” appears 120 times in the four gospel accounts – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Bible says it is the gospel of the Kingdom. The Bible doesn’t say the gospel of salvation. Now, the Bible does say the gospel of peace, but that is a manifestation of His Kingdom. If you are in Him, you will have his peace, regardless of what life throws at you.
Kingdom comes from two words – king and dominion. Dominion means rule. So, when you allow King Jesus to rule your heart, you’ve entered into His Kingdom.
The question is, how much is He ruling your life? Is it for some hours a day, week, month, or a year? And of course, it should be all your life. He is King; He is Lord, we surrender 100 percent. When we do, giving is not an issue. Because when you have Jesus as your King, as your Lord, and then you learn about tithing, you just obey. And not just only tithing, but your time, compassion, love, your assistance to others in need. Why? Because Jesus gave us all of Himself, and we’re expected to follow his footstep, and represent Him on earth. I believe the Holy Spirit will speak to you and show you what to do.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). We’re His twice. He made us in His image, and we are bought by the blood of Jesus. We need to really preach the good news of the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations. The word for “nations” in Matthew 28:19 is the same Greek word ethnos or “people groups.” All the people groups of the world will hear the word, and then the end will come, so it’s the gospel of the Kingdom. So, pray for each and every nation, that the word of God will permeate every corner, and people will hear, believe, and enter into God’s Kingdom on earth. Amen!
